Dr. Taylor is a board-certified General psychiatrist with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a board certified addiction medicine specialist with the American Board of Preventive Medicine. In addition, he is a certified medical review Officer (MRO) with the Medical Review Officer Certification Counsel, trained by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut earning a bachelors degree in psychology. He then went on to earn his doctorate of medicine at the University of Saint Eustatius School of Medicine. After earning his medical degree, he went on to complete an internship in family medicine with ProMedica Health, at Flower Hospital, in Sylvania Ohio. He then completed his residency in psychiatry, at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine, in Shreveport, LA.

Dr. Taylor, was then asked to stay be on faculty at the school of medicine, as an assistant professor of clinical psychiatry. Dr Taylor. then went on to work at the federal, state & municipal level. Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Association of Emergency Psychiatry, the American Association for Community Psychiatry, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine and the American Association of Medical Review Officers. He is licensed to practice medicine in: Connecticut, Colorado, Louisiana and Ohio.

He has a passion for helping those with primary psychiatric disorders and dual diagnosis patients. when Dr. Taylor is not helping patients, he enjoy spending time with his family, weightlifting and playing with his two dogs
